What I am Reading

"Wedding Belles", by Haywood Smith

This book is the third that features her Red Hat Club ladies.  They are middle-aged (obviously), live in Atlanta, and have a lot of misadventures.  The references are very Southern, and a little cheesy, but a pretty fun read.  The first one of her books that I read was "The Queen Bee of Mimosa Branch."  I picked it up at the used book store based solely on the title and a cute cover.  Shallow, I know, but don't judge!

"Certain Girls", by Jennifer Weiner

I think the first book of her's that I read was "Good in Bed".  ("Certain Girls" is a sequel, and I definitely recommend reading them in order!)  A friend of mine was reading it and had a copy at work.  Given the title, I was thinking maybe it was an instructional book of sorts, and was hesitant to ask much about it.  My friend saw my (apparently not subtle) glances and told me to read the back cover.  I think it was that very day that I went to the store and bought it.  Loved it.  My favorite so far is "Little Earthquakes".  If you are a mom, it is a must-read.
